Woah...the gift of grief. That is so true. Alhamdulillah again and again and always. Yes, witnessing the atrocities and feeling grief might be the very first step, but it is a monumental step regardless. The journey of a thousand steps start with one or something like that.

Yes, Alhamdulillah! I realized this after speaking to people about it, it hit me that there are people going about their lives completely unfazed by everything going on and it became more evident that this grief we feel, is a sign from Allah swt.

this piece has brought me so much joy and coziness, i love these reminders, we need to rest, we can't look at the bigger picture and deal with grief without rest. janne robinson says 'what if rest was the greatest adventure?'
